Get up close with Taronga’s Penguin colony

During this encounter, you’ll waddle with a keeper inside the penguin habitat to learn all about these loveable creatures. From feathers to flippers, you’ll dive into the aquatic world to understand what being a Penguin is all about!

Taronga Zoo’s Penguins can’t wait to meet you!

Guests will be required to

  • Wear enclosed shoes during the encounter
  • Guests must be able bodied to access and climb some stairs into the Penguin exhibit.
  • Sit still during the encounter without any sudden movements
  • Sit on the exhibit floor for up to 20 minutes
  • Unfortunately, there is No wheelchair access

Rhino reserve

Visit Taronga's Rhino Reserve and meet the ‘Fab Four’, Greater One-horned Rhino Hari, and Asian Water Buffalo trio Kahn, Sahasi and Babu who have all recently arrived from Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo.

Taronga offers the opportunity for guests to connect with wildlife and have meaningful animal encounters.
